How to THRIVE in Luton

If THRIVE means Training, Health, Resilience, Inclusion, Vitality and Empowerment, then there’s a new hub to help!

Opened just over two months ago in Upper George Street, Thrive Hub Luton provides digital support, community-led education, skills development and creative programmes for Luton’s residents.

Thrive exists to make learning, creativity and opportunity accessible to young people and adults in Luton who want to:

  • build skills, confidence, and wellbeing
  • create clear pathways into employment, enterprise and civic participation

Thrive was brought to life by the charity Community Interest Luton and hub manager, Gulseema Bali Khan, who says Thrive:

  • is a safe space
  • is a place with no judgement
  • has a team ready to support every step of the way

“Thrive Hub is built around the values of social inclusion, community vitality, personal empowerment, digital access and lifelong learning. It can help to create opportunities, strengthen connections and support healthier, more resilient lives.

The hub has its own medical room. Right now, it’s not in use but Thrive would love to hear from any local health professionals who would be happy to donate their time.

Health advice and support, or vaccinations for older people, are just two examples of additional services the hub wants to introduce.

Or perhaps you’d like to become a digital buddy at Thrive, supporting people with their digital skills? Training is provided for volunteers.

See Thrive Hub Luton on Facebook and Instagram and email [email protected] if you want to offer your time.
