A summer of change
As our very hot summer comes to a close, it feels like a good opportunity to reflect on what has been a busy and important few months for Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT).
Sprints 6 and 7: platform development update
Alongside preparation for an Organisational Change Assessment (OCA) for DDaT, the Digital Development team has continued to make strong progress across our low code platform programme.

Our DDaT Director was recently invited to Luton’s first AI hackathon. Organised by three local teenagers, the event produced some inspiring ideas from our young people!
Sprint 5: getting complaints ready for release
A slightly shorter update from me this time, as I’ve been away for a long weekend at Love Supreme festival. It’s the end of sprint 5, and the main focus has been getting version 1 of the complaints app ready.
This is very much the first release, and once we get into UAT and then go-live, we’ll be able to iterate quickly with improvements and new features.

James is the lastest DDaT recruit. He's DDaT Luton's new Senior Digital Developer, immediately focusing on building a reporting framework and dashboard for resident complaints.

Bringing DDaT teams together: highlights from our June Quarterly Connect
In addition to our DDaT away days, the whole of Luton's DDaT service gets together in person for our Quarterly Connect sessions. At its core, the session was about something simple but powerful: building a more connected, collaborative and high-performing digital community across the council.
